Happy Birthday Uncle Mike!

Oh we had such a good time planning Mike's surprise 30th! It was such fun to plan all of the little pary touches and even kept from him that we were going to be in town that weekend. He found out when he walked into the party hangar. Brandon actually kept that secret for 7 weeks and the girls even knew this past week. Thank goodness for the physical distance between us or Mike would have known long ago.

Getting the girls to relax at the airport after their first flight took a lot of discussing how we were having the party at the hangar but wouldn't be going up in the plane this time. They calmed down quickly and even watched Brandon fly with Papa Mike. I have to admit there is something unsettling for me to watch Brandon to a low pass over the runway with Dad, but Brandon's takeoff was priceless. I looked at my mom and asked what the heck was that when they took off - the tail looked like it was going to hit the ground it pulled up so fast. The reason it looked like a six year old had taken off was because Brandon had taken off. Better conserve your strength Papa as Brandon will be even stronger next year!

There goes Papa and Brandon!

On Sunday before we had to head south, we enjoyed the Octoberfest at the lake.
