Time passes so quickly, without one noticing. Seven years have gone by in the blink of an eye. It seems like we were just getting ready for me to move to TX into that teeny one bedroom apartment and spending late nights at Ihop ordering Brian's beloved cheese omelets.
We talking and looking back over the last 7 years and the unpredictable route we have walked together. We started in that 600 square foot 1 bed apartment in TX, only to discover after 6 weeks that I was expecting Brandon. We moved up to our (spacious!)800 sq ft two bedroom apartment over the new year and Brian left for PLDC for the month of Feb. Brandon arrived 9 days early in June and changed our little world forever. Having a baby changes everything...
Brian ended his commitment to the Army in late August 2004 and we left hot sunny TX for the cool autumn nights of OH. After much worry and prayer, we arrived in Cincinnati for Brian's new job - his first job since graduating from college - and moved into our first house together. The loss of our pregnancy a few days later left us stunned and hoping to conceive again quickly. Another lost pregnancy several months later left us thinking Brandon would be our only little one. We decided to take a break and give ourselves some much needed time off from worrying about having more kiddos. The ensuing months were well spent. We reconnected with a friend from long ago, prayed alot, grew closer together and learned to "let go and let God." Easier said than done at times.
10 days into our new journey of trying for a bigger family, we conceived spontaneous twin girls. Such a blessing - a viable, healthy pregnancy, girls!, and twins when they don't run in either family. So many complications could have occured during that twin pregnancy and didn't. Full term, 6 pounders arrived on Veteran's Day and we were thrilled. A complete family? Perhaps. Perhaps not quite yet...whatever our future holds for us, we are eager to embrace it together.

Hey....and can you send me your email address? I have an old one for you that you gave me from PW but it doesn't work anymore. Just leave it in the comments of my latest entry and I'll go through and delete the comment after I've put it in my address book so it's not made public.
Thanks!
