Pumpkins and Bengals

Before Brian and Brandon headed out to the farm for the preschool's father-child pumpkin carving, our little Bengals gathered on the front porch to pick the blooms off of the mums and pull straw out of the bale.
The kiddos have been in rare form this week. We've had some of our much-longed for rainy days and the break in the weather was lovely, but it gave the kids way too much time to get into stuff. You wouldn't believe the number of surfaces I have found toothpaste, glue stick residue, and desitin on.
Between the raindrops, they are spending many happy hours out in the backyard. Lainey loves the sandbox and the double swing. Brandon in totally enamored with the new spiral slide one of our old friends gave us. It took Brian most of a weekend to move the other slide and attach the spiral, but it was worth it! They've been having so much fun, I haven't even taken a picture yet. Katie loves the old slide, climbing the rock wall and walking across the field to the cemetary. Very seasonally appropriate!
We're heading home for a weekend family visit and the kids can hardly wait to allow Papa and Nana Bo to spoil them rotten.
