After her little party, we enjoyed an evening boat ride around the lake. Brandon couldn't wait to drive and Lainey was happy as a clam. Katie took a bit to warm up to the idea, but once she determined it had actually been her idea to get on the boat she declared "Katie happy on boat, Katie no cry" a sentiment she is still sharing with us back at home.
Thursday was a big night for Brandon. He and Dad camped out in the new gazebo on the upper deck and the toothfairy visited Brandon for the first time! He had shown me the previous night that one of his four loose teeth could lay down in two directions and actually asked us to pull out with the doorknob! We did as he asked and it popped right out. He informed his NanaBo that we had "employed the doorknob technique". He lost his second tooth this week, a mere six days later. Both came out to make room for the same new tooth on the bottom, which is the same tooth he first cut as a baby.
We spent all day Friday on the beach, playing in the sand and on the playground equipment and finished up with another boat ride.
Sunday was Brandon's family birthday get together. I'm refusing to call it a party because I don't want him to expect two parties for his birthday, but some of the great grandparents can barely make it down to Dad and Bonnie's, let alone down here to our place and Brandon really wanted a party with his friends so we did both this year.
